Strike the Earth!: ~Plains of Passage (Shovel Knight)~
Color phase.
I'll be honest, I didn't really think much of Shovel Knight before it came out, and pretty much got it because of everyone saying how awesome it is.
So, I got it on Wii U, and I was amazed by how much work they put into it! This is a game that did the 8-bit aesthetic not because it was easy and a popular idea, but because it was deliberately trying to bring us back to the days when we all had NES controllers crazy-glued to our hands.
I will actively say, I am proud to put Shovel Knight alongside the games it drew inspiration from in the 8-bit pantheon, and I'll also actively say it's like 15 bucks on the eShop or Steam! Go and get it! Now! (But be sure to fave this first, before you go !
