Whatever you wish to call it, the technique remains the same: The ability to sense the willpower, emotions, and life force of other living things.

While having the power to sense the life force of beings has a variety of practical applications, one of the most common I've seen (and the one Raleno has chosen to focus on) is the ability of premonition, being able sense the intent of an attacking foe, and react accordingly even before they've even made their move.
