Earth Day actually isn't the only reason I wanted to draw Xerneas again.
To be honest, Xerneas is actually one of my genuine favorite Pokemon for Gen VI.
It looks badass (especially by Fairy-type standards), already has a type advantage over Yveltal, can learn things like Close Combat, Outrage, and Flash Cannon, and between you and me, if I had to choose between being near Xerneas or Yveltal when they finally perish, I'm going with Xerneas.
Going through something like having eternal life, or at the very least a massive power surge, just seems more preferable to being on the receiving end of a "Screw you all, I'm taking you down with me" death nuke, really...

Xerns is pretty awesome, yeah. I just wish it looked more like an X. The antlers could've looked more like it, ya know? The glint in its eye just...it's a life Pokemon that has a thing for death in its eye.
But yes, I like Xerneas. Granted, I like Yveltal better, but it's mainly just because it looks like the letter better. As soon as i saw it in the first trailer, i knew the game would be Y. But yeah, minus that, it's probably one of my favorites too.
