Custom Amiibo: Sonic Boom

Once again, I decided to tackle the custom Amiibo market, and this one actually took quite a bit of effort!

During one of my various excursions, I came across a few Sonic Boom figures, and I realized that the figure of Sonic was pretty close in size, shape, and potential pose to match the Amiibo of Sonic! Over that weekend, I was able to buy another Sonic amiibo, at which point it was simply a matter of...

-Prying the figure of Sonic loose from the base itself (with some effort and a strategically applied X-acto knife)...

-Sanding down, cutting and reshaping the clear plastic base the original figure was attached to...

-And replacing the figure of Boom Sonic on with a few drops of Krazy Glue!

And (if you'll pardon the expression) boom! We have an almost 1:1 Sonic Boom amiibo figure! While it doesn't have any actual support with Rise of Lyric or Shattered Crystal, it's still very compatible with Smash Bros.!

Also, just for the heck of it, I went with creating a custom backplate for a potential Sonic Boom amiibo line as well!
